Recommended ages 11 and up. One-hour classes for 10 weeks. First class on game programming. Topics include programming fundamentals such as data types, Boolean algebra and conditionals, as well as game object scripting for rigid bodies, colliders, basic vector functions, scaling, rotation, translation, timers, spawning, and capturing game input from keyboard and mouse.

Saturday 12:00 - 1:00pm
Recommended 11 and up. One-hour classes every Monday at 5:00pm-6:00pm for 10 weeks. No prerequisite required. Learn game mechanics such as building your own 3D world. Introduce players and enemies into your scene. Add health and damage, pickups, animation, and add a user interface. This 10 week class will get you up and running in the right direction for producing your very own video games.

Recommended ages 11 and Up. One-hour classes. Learn the concepts and coding techniques to create your own interactive games on Roblox with Lua scripting language. The basic concepts of computer programming will be introduced such as data types, Boolean algebra, conditionals, and control structures, as well as modular programming. Game engine basics such as how to move, scale and rotate your Roblox parts will be covered. Additionally, make game objects spawn, program your Humanoid Roblox Player, create your own models and import them into your projects, as well as code the Leaderboard for multi-player games.

Create assets that can be imported into game engines such as houses, furniture, treasure, fences, bridges, and other types of props and obstacles.

Recommended ages 11 and up. One-hour classes for 10 weeks. Some game programming assumed. If you haven't completed a gaming class at SimTek, a placement test is required. Animation, simple AI scripting, and version control will be covered as well as reinforcement of priciples learned in Game Programming I
Basics and beyond for people with limited knowledge of computers. Use google docs to create papers, spreadsheets and presentations and export your work to Microsoft products. Various topics of interest will be covered (8 weeks)
This class covers syntax and commands, variables, methods, file IO, exception handling, creating classes, object-oriented programming, basic unit testing, graphics and GUI programming (10 weeks)
